For all your PowerPoint needs, but from a Technicians perspective. I have a wealth of experience with presentations in many types of events and I well understand the differing needs and priorities of Medical and Corporate as well as Special events such as Award Ceremonies and Gala Dinners.

There are many Graphics designers in Conferencing, Communications and Multimedia, they can make stunning slides, dazzling decks and cheesy charts. But they seldom understand what makes a good show, what will look good on a large screen, how to allow for colour changes due to all the different technologies involved. and few can even plug in a projector.

There are many AV technicians who understand projectors, control equipment and all the necessary paraphernalia involved in getting data on screen, some can even work PowerPoint but as they rarely need to do more than press buttons in PowerPoint, not many of them use computers enough to restore them from - or even prevent - crashes, and they certainly can't make PowerPoint sing & dance!

I am one of the few who can bridge the gap.

With a good understanding of video, I can set up and operate a wide range of equipment, including projectors(data, video & 35mm); monitors; vision mixers & switchers; video replay and record units. I have a more basic & limited experience with broadcast-standard cameras, racks/PPU's and CCU's.

My equipment includes a miniDV camcorder ideal for capturing small meetings and laptops with video outputs which can give excellent holding images or logos for video/IMAG screens. Further details on the Technical page.

Although not my main discipline, I am an able sound engineer suitable for rigging and operating small to medium sized events.

I started off in the business many years ago lighting bands and visiting theatre productions in my local Arts Centre. Recent lighting experience has been much more limited however, but I have enough knowledge and experience to recommend other crew if required. My technical background and years of experience in the various disciplines of live events make me the ideal person to oversee the technical aspects of your show.
